The journey to the birth of the Dr. Bétta baby bottle
The journey to the birth of the Dr. Bétta baby bottle
Idea
The "Dr. Bétta Baby Bottle," invented by American medical doctor Alexander Theodore, was developed based on extensive clinical data, focusing on the fact that breastfed babies have fewer illnesses. The pediatricians who developed it say that "70% of illnesses that occur in infancy are caused by breastfeeding with the head lying down."
Zoom Tea and Dr. Bétta's Encounter
Hoping to help all babies who use baby bottles grow up healthy, based on the concept of preventive medicine, in 1995 we signed a licensing agreement for the manufacture and sale of plastic "Dr. Bétta Baby Bottles" in Japan.
Realizing the ideal
At the time, Dr. Bétta Baby Bottles were only available in plastic, but the company began to feel a strong need for heat-resistant glass baby bottles, which offer many advantages, such as being scratch-resistant, hygienic, and capable of long-term use. In order to manufacture this special shape out of heat-resistant glass, it took a great deal of time and effort from many engineers, and they finally met President Okutani of Okutani Glass Manufacturing, which has a factory in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo. Thanks to President Okutani's skills and spirit, they were able to transform the American-made Dr. Bétta Baby Bottle into a high-quality Japanese-made Dr. Bétta Baby Bottle.
