These honeycomb sponges are hand-harvested one by one by professional divers in the Aegean Sea.
They dive only for a brief moment when the weather and sea conditions allow, collecting the sponges while battling the depth in the deep blue sea. Since the sponges naturally live in the sea, after harvesting, they are carefully cleaned by removing sand, shells, and seaweed with tweezers. Because these are used directly on the skin, each sponge is carefully prepared to ensure it is gentle and painless on the skin!
Bétta obtains these sponges directly from divers under contract, allowing us to offer higher quality products. Due to the decreasing number of divers, honeycomb sponges are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain each year. Please use them on your precious baby's soft skin. They are perfectly sized for small areas like the neck, cheeks, and behind the ears.
