Bétta Carryme! size information

What is the fastener's lock feature?

When adjusting the shoulder strap, make sure to fully secure and lock the fastener by bringing down the catch to insert it until you hear a click. This makes it easier to check its safety.

Tell me how to adjust the strap.

By changing the combination of fasteners behind the shoulder strap of the currently sold "Bétta Carry me!" and "Carry me! plus", the length of the should strap can be adjusted to 4 different sizes: 42cm, 48cm, 54cm, and 60cm. When carrying the baby, the best length is when the bottom of the bag is around the belly button of the person carrying it. If the shoulder strap is too long, it will create instability, and it will tend to place a burden on your shoulders, so try to shorten it so that it does not hurt.

Can dads also use it?

Yes, they can use it. It is designed for people with an under bust around 65-100cm.

Can this be used with a newborn?

Yes, it can be used from newborns and up to 2 years old. As a rough estimate, it is designed for use with babies around 3-11.3kg in weight.

What is the best length for the shoulder strap?

When carrying the baby, the best length is when the bottom of the bag is around the belly button of the person carrying it. If the shoulder strap is too long, it will create instability, and it will tend to place a burden on your shoulders, so try to shorten it so that it does not hurt.

Can I use Bétta Carry me! to carry the baby on my back?

That would be dangerous, so please do not do that.

When carrying my newborn baby, it looks like their body is curving into a ball, but is that okay?

The baby is making the same posture as when they were inside the mother, so there is nothing to worry about. If the baby is buried inside the sling bag, fold up a bath towel or a similar fabric to put inside the Carry me! when carrying the baby.

When I hold the baby vertically the cloth touches the backs of their knees and it looks like it hurts.

First check that the baby's butt is in the deepest part of the bag. If the baby's butt is in the deepest part of the bag and the knees are allowed to stretch out without bending, it will reduce the burden placed on the backs of the baby's knees.

My baby's neck hurts, so what should I do?

Check that the baby's butt is in the deepest part of the bag. The baby should take the same posture as when they were inside the mother, so there is nothing to worry about as long as the baby is not crying or grumbling, but if the baby looks too buried inside the carrier, fold up a bath towel or a similar fabric to put inside, and try to hold the baby most of the time while supporting their neck with your arm. You should also try the "reverse" style so that the baby's body is close to being horizontal.

How shoud my baby have their legs in the sling?

The baby's legs are spreading out the hips joints, and the knees are bending naturally into an M shape. If you adjust it so that the baby's belly button is facing the ceiling as much as possible, it will free up the baby's legs to spread out. Be careful that the baby's hip joints are not closed and that the knees are not stretched straight out.

When I put my baby into Carry me!, they start to cry.

When first using it, the baby will fret, and it may take some time for them to get used to it. Babies have different responses to being held, and babies also like to be held in different ways, so practice a little at a time when the baby is in a good mood to accustom them to it. For variations in holding babies, please see this <about holding>.

Can Carry me! be washed?

It can be washed in a washing machine and by hand. When using a washing machine, put it inside of a net, and wash it on a gentle cycle. After washing it, adjust its shape and dry it in the shade. Using a dryer will cause it to shrink, so avoid doing that. We recommend using a neutral detergent that does not have a bleaching agent.

Will the color rub off onto clothes during use?

Carry me! has passed an inspection for color transfers during rubbing, so there is nothing to worry about with color transfers when it gets wet from sweat. Please use it without any concerns.

My baby tries to push out their legs inside the bag.

If the baby is pushing out their legs when you are holding them in your arms, please try a "reverse style" that involves the baby's legs coming out around the armpits of the person holding them. Make sure to support the baby's head with your hand. When they still try to push out their legs no matter what, wait a little while and observe their behavior before trying it again.

What is the target age?

For newborns up to 2 years of age, and as a rough estimate, babies 3-11.3kg in weight.

How many hours can it be used for?

Regardless of the number of hours, use it while always observing the baby and their facial expressions.

How should I carry my baby?

For newborns before their neck is stable, carry them in your arms or do a "reverse style," but once they can hold up their neck and back, use a "vertical hold" and a "back hold." For details, please see this <about holding>.

Can I do a kangaroo hold?

It is dangerous for the baby to be leaning forward, so do not do that.

How should it be folded?

Fold it compactly as shown in the image.

 How to fold Bétta carryme!

I would like to actually try out Carry me!

You can try it out at our flagship store Bétta tonton.

There are also samples prepared at the following two chain stores in Japan, so please directly contact these stores.

I am 140cm tall. Can I use it?

You can use it if the area around your chest (under bust) is about 65-100cm. If you are worried about it, please feel free to contact us from here

I can see a black spot on the material.

There are cottonseeds and fragments left over that is characteristic of cotton fabric, and this cannot be avoided when making the material. This is not a stain, so please do not worry about it.

I feel a burden placed on my shoulder and back, so am I just not using it right?

Spread out the shoulder strap and try to wrap them on the outer of your shoulders. When the shoulder strap is near the base of your neck, it places a burden on your shoulders and neck. Also, if the shoulder strap is too long, it tends to place a burden on you, so shorten it so that it does not hurt. Feel free to contact us from here.

Should I use a bleaching agent?

That may cause color loss, and deterioration of the material and texture, so please do not use bleaching agents.

Can I wash the Cool Honeycomb Liner?

Use a net when washing it, and gentle wash it with either a washing machine or by hand. Avoid using bleaching agents or a dryer. Adjust the shape and let it dry in a well ventilated place.

Tell me how to hold my baby in my arms.

1. Spread out Carry me!, lay out a liner or towel on the inside, and lay the baby inside with their legs making a natural M shape. 2. Put on the shoulder strap, and hold the baby with your arms. Just as when you hold your baby in your hands, adjust the length of the sling so that your baby comes near your chest. 3. Adjust the shape to finish it. If you spread out the shoulder strap and shift it somewhat to the outer of your shoulders (closer to your arms), it will spread the weight and make it more comfortable. The parent should use their hands as support and hold the baby at an angle where the baby's face is visible.

Tell me how to hold my baby from the back.

1. The person holding the baby should pull it over their head and spread out the shoulder strap so that it is not twisted. Hold the baby in a posture similar to when making them burp. 2. Temporarily take the baby's legs below the bag, have the baby sit in the deepest part of the bag, and place the material so that it catches their butt. 3. Confirm that the bottom seam is placed on their butt, wrap the inner material from their butt to their knees, and wrap the outer material from their butt to their back.
